 Netzach

The seventh Sefirah, Netzach represents the attribute of endurance or perseverance.  It is also symbolic of eternity.  Netzach is associated with the sense of timelessness that has an enduring quality.  It encompasses the well-known type of unwavering resolve and determination, through which stability is established.

In the tzelem Elohim, Netzach symbolizes the right leg, as well as the ability to surmount obstacles and hindrances.  Endurance means to persist and is the element that is a determinant in any given situation that requires commitment.  Netzach also means victory, and points toward the kind of victory of which endurance in an integral component.

Consequently, Netzach and the next Sefirah, Hod are most often paired together.  Both work together to bring the influx of the Light of the Creator down to the Creation, making certain that the Creation receives the Light according to its capacity. 

 The fourth day of Creation is associated with the Sefirah Netzach.  The (enduring) lights of the sun, moon, and stars were created at this time.
