Da’at
In the configuration of the ten Sefirot, the Sefirah Da’at is not always present. Da’at represents knowledge. It corresponds to the cerebellum (posterior brain), and it is said to bring together or unify Chochmah (the father) and Binah (the mother). In the Torah/Bible it was first used to signify the relationship between Adam and Chavah (Eve). “…and Adam knew Eve.” (Genesis 4:1).
The type of knowledge that Da’at is associated with implies both a transcendent knowledge, and also a lower knowledge that unifies Chochmah and Binah, as well as the other Sefirot according to the purpose that each was emanated or revealed for.
