Kabbalah represents the mystical and esoteric teachings of the Torah/Bible. It has been referred to not only as the soul of the Torah, but also the oral tradition received by Moses on Mount Sinai, completing the entire spiritual transmission of the Holy text. The root of the word kabbalah itself derives from the Hebrew verb lekabel, “to receive.” It can also mean to accept or be accepted.
